Day number 11 - KAMALA BEACH

We decided that today we are pampering ourselves at some beach (even if there is a cloud in the sky) and we went north towards KAMALA BEACH. About a 15-minute drive north from the hotel.

We found parking easily (because that's how it is when you come in OFF SEASON, apparently), and we started walking until we found a nice place on the beach run by the same nice family.

Spread the towels for us, clean the sunbeds, constantly make sure the beach strip is clean - really amazing service. A bed and an umbrella cost about 100 baht, we took four for all of us. We enjoyed the waves, and from time to time all kinds of people came to us offering their wares, from scarves to JBL speakers.

Look what a clean beach!

After resting and enjoying the sea, we decided it was time to have lunch. When we were driving, we saw some ad about a restaurant that is on a cliff, and sets towards the beach. So we put the destination in GOOGLE and started driving.

After about fifteen minutes of driving, we arrived at a hotel called KALIMA RESORT.

The restaurant is on the roof of the hotel and includes a pool. We arrived at the reception and asked how to get to the restaurant, and there they told us that it only opens at 5:00 PM (and it was 3:00 PM) - but they suggested that we go to their pool and eat there at the bar.

We didn't know what awaited us...

So we went up in the elevator and saw this...

A wonderful pool that overlooks a stunning view!

We didn't have time to say "Wow, it's amazing here" and the girls were already in the water...

After a few minutes the food arrived, we finished a delicious lunch there and returned back to our hotel.

We went out to try and catch the sunset...

After that, we started the car and went to the night market in the old town of Phuket.

Because we were with a car, it was a bit challenging to find parking there, so we parked 700 meters from the market itself and took a light walk.

The market itself works on Sundays and is packed to the brim with tourists, the crowd is felt everywhere. What's more, there are a lot of food stalls, live performances by local singers and also a variety of local products. Definitely worth a visit.

As you progress, the road becomes more crowded...

After about an hour in the market, it started to rain. And I'm not talking here about individual drops but about a serious flood. All the tourists looked for a balm under every bush or pergola that was available, and we all waited until the anger passed.

As soon as the rain subsided a bit, everyone stormed the stands again

Our children were already tired, so we took a taxi to the car, and from there we returned to the hotel.

We knew we had a grueling day ahead of us, we just didn't know how much...
